Laurel Hall Addition and Master Plan
After having designed Laurel Hall, an 85,000 square foot, 300-bed student residence for NJIT, the university recognized the need to establish a framework for ongoing campus development and commissioned the firm to develop a master plan. The master plan addressed campus zones for various types of use, potential building sites, open space, pedestrian and vehicular circulation and parking and established a clear identity along the perimeter of the university property. Following the master plan, MGA&D designed the expansion of Laurel Hall, which approximately doubled its capacity and designed a new facade for Oak Hall completing the quadrangle.
