We always find that travelers like authentic experiences. They go places to experience them. Therefore, when we design hotels and resorts, we link them specifically to their contexts and given them a recognizable character. Laura Manske writing for Forbes recently reported on the “travel buzz that is the ‘new’ Fort Lauderdale.” She touts our ocean-front Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach as the embodiment of what pampered travelers have come to expect of this 23-mile stretch of pristine Atlantic Ocean shoreline. When we were designing the all-suite hotel building, we intentionally referred to familiar forms associated with the ocean, from the portholes on the façade to the pool on the Sky Deck.
