Human Focus

The Houston Branch building plays a central role in the Bank’s interactions with the community. Standing tall above a popular city park and roadway, the building frames and defines many civic events that occur in its vicinity. The interior public spaces provide a stimulating and hospitable environment for members of the public, for whom the building serves.

Transformation

Through its architecture, the Houston Branch building has become an integral part of Houston’s daily life. It serves as a landmark and gateway to downtown, a backdrop to public events along the bayou, and a catalyst for revitalization in one of Houston’s most significant historical neighborhoods.

Identity

Identity was a fundamental criterion for the design of this project from the outset. Working closely with the client during all phases of the project, the architecture of the building, when combined with the unique site, history, tradition and climate, creates a resonant image for the Federal Reserve in Houston.
