Our expanded collaboration with Pottery Barn takes this challenge head-on, with thoughtfully integrated solutions like a grab bar vanity, a multi-use grab bar trellis for the shower, and dual-purpose towel and toilet paper holders with built-in grab bars. Each product draws from ethnographic research and lived experiences of people across ages and abilities.

The vanity’s integrated grab bar, which also serves as a towel bar, offers a subtle yet essential point of contact, whether for a child reaching for the sink, an adult navigating low light, or an older user seeking confidence and control

Shallow shelf below counter provides additional storage opportunities while maintaining full accessibility

Channel along the countertop perimeter minimizes spills and helps prevent small items from rolling off which prevents falls

Grab Frame Design Features

First of its kind, the trellis-inspired grab bar, provides horizontal and vertical touchpoints, offers mounting height flexibility for expanded grabbing options; convenient hanging space for wash cloths, loofas and back brushes; references high end shower niches, and is perfect for homeowners with children, people recovering from injury and those who want to future-proof their bathrooms

Towel Bar & Toilet Paper Holder with Integrated Grab Bar Design Features

These designs eliminate the need for separate towel, toilet paper holder and grab bars. They are ideal for bathrooms with limited wall space and for people who desire style with enhanced safety. The toilet paper holder’s convenient location provides assistance when standing or sitting, for kids and adults, while its pivoting design allows for for one-handed replacement of toilet paper rolls which means no parts to drop.
