National dialogue on accessibility
Our initial assignment was to develop two protypes – the Patriot Home and the Freedom Home – at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. We subsequently conducted post-occupancy evaluations of our designs and other accessible houses on the base with the goal of improving the size, efficiency and cost. The study set a new baseline that we used in a rollout of additional houses in Virginia and California.
