Clinton Utilities Board

Since its inception in 1939, Clinton Utilities Board (CUB) had seen a dramatically larger customer base and expanded services to include both water and sewer. Realizing the need for a larger facility to meet the community’s growth, the Utilities Board wanted to ensure that the new space would reflect its commitment to customers, employees, and the environment. Sustainable features include 31% of project materials being derived from regional sources, the use of “low-flow” plumbing fixtures that reduced water consumption by 38%, and a heating and air system that was 21% more efficient than a standard system. The result is a facility that allows Clinton Utility Board to meet customer needs while expressing shared values of conservation, humility, and sustainability.
