A new act for a historic building
Fabrika transforms 11,000 square feet within a historic Northern Liberties building into a dinner theater with a commercial kitchen, dining room, stage, private event space, lounge, and restrooms. Located within a complex of former ice cream machine manufacturing buildings combined into a single lot, the venue brings a new entertainment use to the neighborhood while retaining the character of its industrial setting.
Clear views, flexible experiences
New steel balconies are suspended from the structure above, creating a column-free main floor and preserving sightlines to the stage from every seat. The stage rises for performances and sits flush with the floor when not in use, allowing the theater to support a range of seating types, events, and experiences. Thick layers of insulation and mass within the roof help contain sound, with performance verified during construction to meet required neighborhood noise levels.
