The leadership of Grace Baptist and their Student Ministries team envisioned that the new building would both complement the style and materials of other buildings on the campus and create an exciting home base for youth. The centerpiece of the new facility is a new auditorium that can accommodate an audience of 700 students in flexible seating; the auditorium is also used by the Grace Christian Academy, a K-12 school located on the campus.
The cafe, foyer, and game rooms were developed as key spaces where students spend their time during the week and serve as support spaces for Wednesday evening worship services. The classrooms are great small group and training spaces. A prayer and care room helps students connect with adult leaders for counseling and support every week. The character of the architecture and interiors and the variety of functions draw students into the building every day after school, creating a lasting sense of community in a place specifically designed for them.
