Home to the ECU College of Nursing, ECU College of Allied Health Sciences, and William E. Laupus Health Sciences Library, this building accommodates interdisciplinary learning in a highly collaborative environment.

We underwent an extensive programming effort to identify the individual and collective needs of the three user groups. Multiple interactive planning sessions were conducted on the campus to engage the faculty, staff and students. Ultimately, the design provides each school with a unique visual identity within the building, with circulation paths and central spaces connecting the three programs. The building affords students and faculty access to resources that will create and refine cutting-edge medical, information and communication technologies for the health sciences.
