A variety of health science labs
The Congdon School of Health Sciences and Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy building is home to the first school of pharmacy in the NC Piedmont Triad as well as the University’s physician assistant and physical therapy graduate programs. The building accommodates more than 100 faculty and 700 students. Congdon Hall’s program includes teaching and research labs, BSL-2 vivarium, gross anatomy and fresh tissue labs, biomechanics lab, and simulation labs, all of which are designed for experiential learning.
Opportunities for collaboration
A three-story atrium, multi-purpose room, 350-seat tiered auditorium, second level multi-purpose ballroom, and outdoor balconies provide opportunities for collaboration. Large informal gathering and study spaces were designed with spacious transparent corridors, extensive daylighting, and borrowed light to maximize the student experience.
