A New York-themed environment
MGA designed both the Hotel New York building and all of its interiors for Disney’s themed venue near Paris. The entire development, inside and out, embodied Disney’s goal of creating ”entertainment architecture” for its guests. The interiors incorporate classic New York imagery such as baseball team logos, and skyscrapers. The ballroom features backlit three-dimensional “murals” of the skyline of Manhattan and a Big Apple carpet. The Big Apple theme is also used in the festive entrance and reception hall. Restaurants with names such as New York Diner and Club Manhattan evoke the spirit of New York without replicating specific places.
