Karns Animal Clinic, a leading veterinary office in the community, found that its existing space no longer supported its growing practice and, therefore, expansion became an attractive solution. The addition allowed the design team to create a new “face” for the clinic within the context of rural vernacular that characterizes the area.
The program for the addition includes exam rooms, laboratory and pharmacy space, diagnostic workstations, product and file storage, and an expanded lobby with a spacious reception counter with storage for merchandise & product display. The design created a seamless transition between the clinic and business space. The addition also maximized the amount of natural light entering the exam rooms and lobby.
