Weekend getaway on the Pacific Ocean
Located on a spectacular site overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this 6,000-square-foot residential compound maximizes the breathtaking views. While the solid street facade screens the house from automobile noise and provides privacy, the ocean side is opened as a large framed porch that takes advantage of the view and cool ocean breezes. The interiors of the main house are open and airy, providing a casual and relaxed feel for a weekend getaway. A film screening room, adjacent to the main house, is covered with lattice and climbing vines to create a garden-like ambience. A separate guest house completes the composition.
