Renovation that elevates the property to a premium level resort

Morningstar Buoy Haus Beach Resort, Autograph Collection at Frenchman’s Reef provides guests with a distinct beachfront resort experience. Part of an extensive $425 million rebuild project at Frenchman’s Reef, the intimate open-air resort offers a pure island escape a stone’s throw away from the sand and turquoise waters of St. Thomas. Set along a quarter-mile stretch of beach, the Buoy Haus resort features 94 guestrooms and amenities, including a vibrant mix of four beach and poolside bars and restaurants, an infinity-edge waterfront pool with a swim-up bar, a health club, and 13,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

The epitome of an island escape

Drawing inspiration from the resort’s 1970s-era origins, the guestrooms, suites, and public spaces were reimagined to create a fresh, current look with hints of the iconic property’s historic past. Attentively appointed guest rooms and suites are spread among five villa-style buildings that offer a mix of oceanfront and beachside accommodations with private balconies. Guests are immersed in the comfort of their own private retreats, which feature modern amenities and convenient access to Morningstar Beach, mere steps away.

Creating a tropical state of mind

A breezy beachfront open-air lobby serves as a vibrant space to meet up, mix, and mingle against stunning views of the surrounding island landscapes. The resort showcases an inspired array of restaurants, bars, and lounges, including a Beach Bar & Grill, and Tide Pool Cabanas & Bar. An impressive, infinity-edge oceanfront pool features private cabanas and a swim-up bar with in-water seating. Isla Blue, an open-air, 180-seat restaurant and bar, offers guests an oceanfront fine dining option with a tropical boho chic ambiance and island-inspired global cuisine.
