Olive Tree Early Learning Academy is a new not-for-profit institution providing high-quality and accessible early education for the Knoxville community. Its mission is to bring families together with exceptional educators in a “whole child” approach where children grow to love learning in a creative, safe, and inclusive environment. The facility is located on a beautiful 16-acre property with a 2-acre pond, where the designers created a 1.5-acre natural playscape and outdoor classroom.
The existing building on the site was renovated inside and out. A new canopy at the entrance provides shelter for pick-up and drop-off. In addition to adding a commercial kitchen and upgrading the bathrooms, the interior was refreshed with new finishes, colorful graphics, and cabinetry reflecting the Academy’s purpose and vision. The existing school was occupied during the entire 22 months of construction.
