Protomet, a Tennessee-based manufacturing company, has seen tremendous growth since its founding in 1997. The company came back to us, as the design team for its original 2004 facility, to create an expansion to accommodate the rapidly increasing staff. Despite its success, Protomet has maintained an unwavering commitment to the principle that clients come first and wanted the new space to reflect that value.
The new exterior facade – with the addition of accent metal panels, canopies, and signage – is complementary to branding at Protomet’s Oak Ridge Plant. The expansion provided various upgrades to the original building, including new windows, doors, finishes, millwork, accessible restrooms, and new building systems. The expansion embodies Protomet’s core values of “selfless” and “humble.” The thoughtful use of open office space and warehouse benefits not only Protomet but also Loudon County with new employment opportunities in a high-quality work environment.
