An industrial setting with its own punch line
Punch Line Comedy Club transforms the shell of a former warehouse into a 300-seat venue that reflects the working character of Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood. Metal siding and industrial garage doors give the exterior an urban presence while interior details include a backlit pallet wall displaying performer memorabilia and lunchboxes signed by performers.
Designed for connection
A simple elevated stage sits just above the audience, with seating arranged so every guest has a clear view and remains close to the performance. Careful attention to how sound travels and is absorbed supports the intimacy of the room and helps performers connect directly with their fans.
From arrival to performance
The comedy experience unfolds in two parts. The entry space brings together the box office and bar for ticketing and socializing before the show. The performance room opens into a darkened setting with tightly spaced tables and a slightly raised stage. Punch Line was Live Nation’s first comedy clubhouse on the East Coast.
