South Blount County Utility District was faced with limited space, an adequate lobby area for customers, and a lack of security for their tellers. The organization needed not only a larger office that would be safer for employees and more welcoming for customers, but also an operations center space to accommodate large equipment and provide training and office space for field workers.
The new office building has an open lobby with spacious teller spaces and bullet-proof glass.. The new operations building provides ample space for large machinery and vehicles within multiple bays with 16-foot garage doors. It also includes offices, a storage mezzanine, and training space.
