A flexible setting above The Fillmore
The Foundry is a 450-patron venue located above The Fillmore in the historic Ajax Building. Designed as an intimate and flexible music space, it can connect to the larger venue below or operate independently to create a more exclusive VIP experience.
Reworking the room
The original 2015 design paired an intimate stage with a central 360-degree bar. In 2023, Live Nation revisited the space to increase bar capacity and expand standing room at the stage. The bar was relocated to the rear to improve access for patrons and support higher revenue.
Designed to keep changing
Many components from the original design were reused as part of the 2023 renovation. This approach reduced cost while giving the venue a more adaptable layout that can respond to future needs.
