The Brehm McLeod Animal and Food Science Building successfully established a model for onsite teaching facilities at the University’s AG Campus. The 142,000-SF complex includes fully renovated classroom technology, newly equipped office space, and appropriate infrastructure supporting a wide range of current and future activities. Special care was taken to locate multiple areas of open work and study areas for use by both students and faculty.
New laboratory spaces are a highlight of the building, providing state-of-the-art technology and equipment in an open flexible environment. Renovation of the animal arena was accompanied by creation of multi-purpose spaces in the renovated classroom and conference areas overlooking the arena. Additional lecture classrooms were built utilizing the seating configuration of the corners of the arena. The existing school was occupied during the entire 22 months of construction.
