As the largest facility in the history of Wake Forest University Athletics, McCreary Tower is the centerpiece of the University’s football complex improvements that have transformed the game day experience of players, fans, and the media. The former press box at Groves Stadium (now Allegacy Stadium) was nearly forty years old. Following many years of planning, and fueled by the growth of the Wake Forest football program, McCreary Tower, originally known as Deacon Tower, was built.

On game day, a large courtyard at the ground level collects fans from all directions and guides them into the central arch and through the main gates. Within its seven stories, McCreary Tower features club and suite levels with outdoor seating and private luxury suites, banquet areas, upscale concessions, as well as large working areas for the press, camera crews and televising activities. The new press box fuses the University’s traditional style with the amenities of modern athletic facilities.
