Renovation encompassed a complete transformation
One of the historic Colonial Williamsburg resorts, the Williamsburg Inn is known as the pinnacle of luxury and comfort. Our team was commissioned to undertake a resort-wide redesign to elevate the historic property and maintain its designation as one of the world’s most luxurious hotels.
It was important to maintain the standards of classic elegance and sophistication by integrating the historic exterior of traditional colonial charm with modern luxury amenities. The renovation encompassed a complete transformation of the exterior arrival and event spaces including water features, landscaping, outdoor bar, new footpaths and lighting, as well as interior renovations to the lobby, lobby bar, dining room, and terrace room.
A stunning private event space
Upon arrival guests are enchanted by a new reflecting pool at the center of the Inn’s front oval. The terraces adjacent to the lobby and adjoining the wedding pergola and event lawn were expanded to include an outdoor bar, fire pit lounge, and picturesque fountain. This arrangement created a stunning private event space and a more family-friendly outdoor pool deck area.
Situated across the street from the historic downtown, the hotel is steeped in the Regency style of early-19th-century England with large columns, iron railings and a portico entrance, a contrast to the predominantly simple colonial architecture of Williamsburg.
