Articulating the mix of uses
World Trade Exchange is a 35-story mixed-use tower located in Metro Manila’s historic district near Manila Bay. The several uses are stacked above each other and articulated in the massing and facades. There are two floors of retail at the base and seven floors of parking above. Commercial office space rises above this level in two distinct vertical sections. The upper portion was originally designed to be residential, with a health club and swimming pool on the roof. The massing and façade design downplay the large size of the building in deference to its mid-sized neighbors by articulating two stories as one.
