Creating a unique sense of place
With the goal of differentiating the interiors of this new 50-room boutique hotel in the historic French Quarter, we looked to the local context for inspiration. Charleston has long been known for its wonderful gardens and the colors and materials of its traditional buildings. We used those influences as a jumping off point for a more contemporary approach to this special destination.

We looked to the local context of Charleston for drawing inspiration for our interior design.

Veranda Lounge & Bar

At the center of the public interiors is the Verandah Lounge, which resembles a Southern porch moved inside, furnished with a porch swing and plentiful greenery. A large-scale mural by the local artist Linda Fantuzzo extends the interiors into an imagined landscape, merging indoors and outdoors to create a unique and memorable experience.

The Loutrel guestroom
Balancing exquisite detail with refreshing comfort, each of the 50 rooms and suites offer a distinct experience as alluring as the city itself. From Matouk Damiano Percale Sheets to subtle nods to Charleston’s iconic garden landscapes woven into the decor, each thoughtfully elegant space evokes both wonder and relaxation.

Each aspect of the guestrooms at The Loutrel were hand picked and crafted to make you feel comfortable and relaxed.

Recognized as one of America’s most romantic cities, Charleston has enchanted visitors for decades with its exquisite architecture, leading culinary scene, and tree-lined cobblestone streets. Cherished Southern history is blended with cosmopolitan flair.
